About the Event

Program Overview

Brining is a technique where meat is immersed in a liquid solution to enhance the moistness, flavor and depth of the item being brined. We will demonstrate the various types of brining solutions that you can incorporate into your everyday cooking. Brining is simple, easy and so worth the few extra minute to create wonderful meals. The program is typically 1.5 – 2 hours. Samples of all foods prepared will be provided. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for a fee.

What You Will Be Taught

· 4 brining recipes

· Brining a turkey breast and thigh

· Brining pork chops

· Brining chicken, breast and thigh

· Cooking the brined meats

· Carving a cooked turkey breast and thigh

· Preparing chimichurri sauce for the pork chops

· Preparing BBQ sauce for the chicken breast

· Preparing a caper, tomato, Kalamata olive, EVOO compliment for the chicken thigh

· Preparing a carved turkey, brie and cranberry croissant sandwich
